                   UNDERSTANDING  THE CICCETSS

Commonwealth International Cultural & Charity Evening TV-Special Showcase:

A unique and spectacular not-for-profit annual international community quality     of life improvement promotion programme of 54 Commonwealth Euro-Atlantic, Asia-Pacific, African, and Caribbean nations, represented by their respective national Culture and Charity Ambassador (CCAs), aged 16-60plus. Its aims and objectives are to bring a wide range of community benefits to all nations and people.

Aims, Objectives and Community Benefits of the CICCETSS

To showcase and promote increased Commonwealth community charitableness and cultural excellence, awareness, exchange, understanding and unity.

To stage the public selection and crowning of CCAs at the annual or bi-annual

Miss Commonwealth International Contest and the Queen Of Friends Of the Commonwealth Contest.

(CICCETSS now has an army of over 700 active and productive CCAs around  the world).

To promote increased community awareness and understanding of Miss Commonwealth.

To highlight CCAs’ community function as role models and promotional vehicles for the delivery of Miss Commonwealth’s principal aims and objectives, and their contributions to quality of life improvement in the international community.

(CCAs' contributions to international community well-being span all areas of the pageant's aims and objectives and include their record achievement of over £4Million fundraising for registered charities around the world in the 24 months to December 2006).

To promote the essence, and celebrate the successful achievements and impressive track record, of Miss Commonwealth (and the sister pageant) as a highly productive community empowerment institution and platform of 53 Commonwealth nations. The pageant  is globally renown for its principal goal of inspiring and enabling the transformation of ordinary eligible Commonwealth female citizens of all age groups and walks of life into socially and economically equipped CCAs who go forth to make a difference in their local and wider communities by contributing socially, economically and culturally to community and environmental sustainability and to improvement in the Quality of Life.

To raise wider awareness of Miss Commonwealth’s aims and objectives, namely, the said promotions of cultural awareness, family values, good parenthood, children’s welfare, health, education, poverty eradication, sport, international volunteering, community charitableness, tourism, environmental protection, and fundraising for registered charitable organisations and humanitarian and environmental projects, etc.

To increase community awareness of Miss Commonwealth’s promotion of increased “International Volunteering” through the awards of the International Voluntary Humanitarian and Environmental Services (IVHES) Awards, at the Evening, to nominated community champions, for the recognition and promotion of commendable voluntary endeavour. (Proud previous recipients of the awards include the honourable Dr Nelson Mandela of South Africa).
